A new JV tuna processing factory in Sri Lanka

Ceylon Fresh Seafood is a new joint venture between Le Lien Ltd and two local Sri Lankan partners

Located midway between Colomobo and Banderaniake International Airport, the factory opened in March 2008 and has recently obtained an "A" grade BRC certificate, as well as having both EU and FDA approval.

Ceylon Fresh Seafood is a approved by "Friends of the Sea".

Emplying over 100 staff, the factory has a large capacity for processing both fresh and frozen fish on a daily basis and mainly concentrates on producing:

• Yellowfin Tuna
• Swordfish
• Marlin
• Red Snapper
• Grouper
• Barramundi
• Barracuda

Whole fish is landed in the morning, processed the same day and flown overnight for arrival in most major European cities the following morning,

Currently CFS exports fresh fish to the US, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, Barcalona, Madrid, Zurich.

Frozen programmes pruducing IQF steaks; loins and processed whole fish can be undertaken and the factory would welcome an approach from any potential long term business partner.

CFS can supply sashimi grade yellowfin tuna and all other fresh fish to the highest level and our products can be found in many Michelin Star restaurants and sevral national retail chains throughout Europe.
